Big moves

eMoney Advisor has ensured advisors are all prepped for the filing season by releasing new tax planning features. The additional capabilities will let the clients see how tax strategies can affect their financial plans. In a few clicks, a client will be able to see the touchpoints between their tax bracket floor, the tax base for the year, and the taxable parts under Roth conversion.

The features, complementing the Total Taxes Report tool eMoney released earlier, will allow advisors to add real-time dynamics and clarity into conversations with their clients.

The Fintech world was devastated to hear about the death of Gavin Spitzner, Wealth Consulting Partners President and an outstanding consultant. He died from acute myeloid leukemia (AML) this Monday at 57.

Financial industry leaders like Envestnet, Merrill Lynch, and other companies will remember Spitzner as a brilliant professional.

Mike Zebrowski joins Docupace as a Chief Operating Officer. Zebrowski will oversee a wide range of the company’s teams, from product and relationship management to legal.

This appointment is another one in the sequence of senior hires Docupace made throughout 2022, which has been rich in events: multiple acquisitions, new product releases, awards, and acknowledgments cemented Docupaces premier position in the Wealthtech industry.

Orion Advisor Solutions will support the ones who cannot afford professional financial advice and planning. Through extensive financing of the Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP), which Orion announced this Monday, the company aims to spread financial literacy among those who need it most.

Digital bank Zopa netted £75m, solidifying its unicorn status as it readies for a growth and acquisition leap. The valuation is undisclosed, but Zopa’s chief has mentioned the support from the investors’ side is significant amid the market slump.
